After a thrilling regular season, we have crowned our club award winners for NBL26.
Jesse Edwards claimed the club’s major honour, winning team MVP for his stellar play.
The Dutch big-man has been one of the league’s most consistent interior threats throughout the season, averaging 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, while connecting on 64.2% of his shots.
He kept the fans on their feet with his above the rim play, finishing with the second most dunks in the competition (52), while his eight double doubles were the seventh most among all players.
Taking home the club’s Defensive Player of the Year was fellow import, Tyson Walker.
Walker was a menace for opposing ball-handlers all season, tallying 55 steals, the most ever by a United player in the regular season.
His eight steals in Round 5 against the Bullets also set a club record, and are the second most in a single game in the modern 40-minute era.
Winning the club’s SHARE award, an award voted by the coaching staff on the player who encompasses the club’s values, was Fabijan Krslovic.
Krslovic has had a strong first campaign with the club, averaging a career-high in rebounds, assists, blocks and steals.
Kyle Bowen also won his second consecutive Melbourne United Belt, awarded to the player who shows the most dedication in the gym and preparation across the season.
Community Program Administrator Suzanne Jenkins and Multimedia Manager Lochie Gay were also named co-winners of the Vince Crivelli Club Person of the Year.
