As Melbourne United approaches the start of the NBL23 season, the club took the opportunity to welcome its family of partners into its home at Hoop City Cheltenham for an exciting behind-the-scenes look at how the two-time champions operate.

With over 50 guests in attendance, the day featured an inner-sanctum look at the team’s training session, as well as a meet and greet with the playing group.

Importantly, the afternoon featured a presentation outlining the importance of the club’s values and purpose, which was embraced by its partners.

Speaking about the event, Melbourne United Chief Commercial Officer David Moore said the day was a rousing success.

“It was fantastic to be able to welcome our partners into our home at Hoop City Cheltenham as we fast approach the start of the season,” he said.

“They were able to immerse themselves in the facility, hear from CEO Nick Truelson and Head Coach Dean Vickerman and get a chance to meet the stars they’ll be cheering for each game.

“The support our partners provide to the club is phenomenal. It goes far beyond agreements, as we build strong connections with them away from the court.

“Melbourne United are in a fantastic position heading into the season, with a record partnership base which speaks to both the strength of the club but also the strength of basketball as the NBL continues to rise.”
