United set to pack Bendigo for pre-season Blitz

Melbourne United fans are set to get their first proper look at our NBL27 lineup in Bendigo when the team travels up the highway for the next season's NBL Blitz tournament.

Taking place at Red Energy Arena from September 2-6, the basketball showcase will see our new-look team take to the court for a pair of games.

Local and traveling fans will have the opportunity to see fresh faces like Joe Ingles, Sam Waardenburg, and our trio of incoming imports, while cheering on returning favourites such as Chris Goulding and Shea Ili.

NBL Group CEO David Stevenson said taking the Blitz to Bendigo is all about the League’s commitment to fans right across Australia.

“We’re grateful to the Victorian Government and Visit Victoria for their continued support of the NBL and their commitment to bringing major sporting events to regional communities,” Stevenson said.

“The NBL has fans in every corner of Australia and New Zealand, and taking our game to places like Bendigo allows us to connect with those communities in a way that’s really important to us.”

NBL26 saw United play a pair of sold out games in Bendigo.

“The Blitz is a fantastic way to bring our 10 teams together, showcase the very best of the NBL, and give fans from regional Victoria the opportunity to see more elite basketball,” Stevenson added.
