United have delivered our Stand Tall program to over 8,000 students across Victoria

At Melbourne United, it is our purpose to use the power of basketball to inspire, entertain and enrich people’s lives.

In our pursuit to achieve this, we have proudly been delivering our Stand Tall program in primary schools across Victoria—designed specifically for Year 3 and 4 students. Taking place over four weeks, the program combines engaging classroom-based learning with high-energy basketball sessions, creating a holistic experience that helps students grow both personally and physically.

Centred on Melbourne United’s core values of Excellence, Selflessness, and Inclusion, each session explores these themes through storytelling, team activities, and practical reflection, which helps empower young people to understand and apply them in everyday situations. The basketball component reinforces these lessons on the court, helping students connect positive behaviour with action and teamwork.

Program to date has facilitated over 250 programs in classrooms and engaged with over 8,000 students.

Thanks to the support of the United Foundation, we’re able to bring Stand Tall into more school communities, providing students with the tools and confidence to thrive in the classroom, in sport, and in life.
