United's Supercoach hot tip of the week: Round 15

With Melbourne United back on a single for a couple of weeks, the focus for NBL Supercoaches wanting to Bring the Blue into their squads should be cash generation.

After you've got the right mix of big guns on the double, the best way to set yourself for another premo next week might just be to bring in swingman Tanner Krebs (F, $153,300) after his huge breakout round.

The just-turned 28-year-old has the lowest breakeven of any player in NBL Supercoach at -18, meaning all he has to do is walk on the court against New Zealand and he'll go up in price.

The Florida-born wing stepped up in the absence of Luke Travers with a respectable 19 Supercoach points - 9 above his average - against the Sydney Kings on the back of 13 points (3 treys) and 4 rebounds.

Respectable stuff, but the St Mary's product took it to another level against Adelaide with a season-high 40 Supercoach points, giving him 59 for the round - and a $34,500 price rise.

Krebs' shooting has been a huge key.

After struggling a little with his deep ball earlier in the season, he's got the laser sights on, making 11 of his 18 tries from the land of plenty over his past five games - including 4-6 against the Sixers.

It's not clear if Travers will recover in time from his ankle ailment but, regardless, Krebs has carved out a big role in top-of-the-table United's rotation and rewarded coach Dean Vickerman's faith.

That means, for Supercoaches, even if he only hits his average of 12, you're looking at a price rise around $30,000, which is absolute gravy at this time of year, given there are few cheapies to downgrade to.
