Michael Randall breaks down the best options for United players to pick up heading into Round 17

Melbourne United's mini-slump has been a little cause for concern in Supercoach with most players slightly down on their season averages.

Next Star Ariel Hukporti and veteran gun Matthew Dellavedova have been the exceptions, stepping up in a big way in the absence of Jo Lual-Acuil Jr and Shea Ili.

Delly's averaging a club-high 44.3 Supercoach points across the last three rounds, while Big A's managed 34.3 in that stretch.

But, with the impending return of JLA and Shili, we're looking for someone whose Supercoach scores won't be impacted and who we can set and forget over the last four rounds of the season.

That someone, for me, is Luke Travers.

The gun forward has battled a sore shin recently and missed a little time but he's now back to full health and, with a consistent season average of 28.8, he looms as someone coach Dean Vickerman will lean on in the run to finals.

And he's got form against both of this round's opponents as the ladder leaders hit the road in Round 17 for a pair of clashes against Brisbane and Sydney.

LT's versatile game was on full show against the Kings earlier this season when he notched and 18-point, 12-rebound double-double, laced with 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, which translated to 53 Supercoach points, his highest score to date.

Against the Bullets in Round 10, his 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals helped him lead the game with 31 Supercoach points.

The 22-year-old is a captaincy option, too, given his double-round and potential to go large.
