Vickerman: Schedule provides ‘best chance’ at a successful season

Melbourne United Head Coach Dean Vickerman believes his side’s NBL24 schedule gives the organisation a strong chance at success.

Following an exciting week which saw United assemble one of the strongest local cores in recent NBL history, Vickerman spoke glowingly about the schedule for next year.

“I think the schedule we’re looking at for this season gives us the best chance for success,” he continued.

“To know that we’ve got nine Sunday afternoon home games is great because we know our fans are going to fill up John Cain Arena and have that place full of energy.

“Being able to settle in throughout November and December and not have to travel is great. We can really look to put together a strong run of form and take some serious momentum into our road trip to start the new year.”

“On top of that, closing our season with three of our last four games at home allows us a chance to hopefully feed off the energy of our crowd and gather some steam heading into what is hopefully a postseason run.”
