After a thrilling NBL23 season, Melbourne United are already focussed on regrouping and improving heading into what already looks to be a huge NBL24 campaign.
While only a pair of United’s stars are currently signed on for next season, a number of players have already locked in to play around Australia and around the globe during the offseason.
The trio of Shea Ili, David Barlow and David Okwera have all signed on for another season with the Sandringham Sabres, and will be joined by Campbell Blogg, who spent NBL23 with United as a training player.
Elsewhere in the NBL1 South, Frankston’s lineup will feature Brad Newley and Lachie Barker, Knox have locked in Mason Peatling for another season with the Raiders and Zac Triplett has signed on to return to Keilor.
Makuach Maluach is the only United player currently rostered with an NBL1 team outside of the South conference, as he aims to have another spectacular year leading the Darwin Salties in the NBL1 North.
Callum Dalton, Malith Machar and Josh Duach are all expected to sign in the NBL1 within the coming weeks.
Internationally, Xavier Rathan-Mayes has agreed to join Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket in the Turkish Basketball First League, while Marcus Lee has headed back to Italy to play for Pallacanestro Reggiana in the Serie A competition.
Rayjon Tucker is also set to return to the United States to pursue opportunities in the NBA for the remainder of the current season.
