Mobil on the Road Competition - Terms and Conditions - NBL27

1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Promoters

2.1 The Promoters of the competition are:

  - Melbourne United Basketball Pty Ltd (ABN 60 626 901 102) of 77-79 Tulip Street, Cheltenham ("Promoter"); and
  - Mobil Oil Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 88 004 052 984) of 664 Collins Street, Docklands, VIC 3008 ("Promoter").

3. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are able to travel from Melbourne, Victoria, in the event they are drawn as the winner.

4. Employees and the immediate families of employees of the Promoters and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or stepchild, whether natural or by adoption, parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin.

5. The promotion commences at 1.00pm AEST on Saturday 12 September 2026 and ends at 9.00am AEDT on Wednesday 21 October 2026 ("Promotional Period").

6. To enter, individuals must, during the Promotional Period, follow the prompts to the promotion entry page, enter the requested details and submit the fully completed entry form.

7. The Promoters reserve the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants, including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence. The Promoters reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they have reason to believe has breached these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoters' discretion. Failure by the Promoters to enforce any of their rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoters' legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

8. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

9. Only one (1) entry via the online form is permitted per person.

9.1 Entrants who do not include a current registered ABN via the online form will be awarded one (1) entry.

9.2 Entrants who include a current registered ABN and business name via the online form will be awarded three (3) entries.

10. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoters reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

11. The draw will take place at Melbourne United Basketball Club, 77-79 Tulip Street, Cheltenham, on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 3.00pm AEDT. The Promoters may draw and record additional reserve entries in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. The winner will be notified by telephone and in writing within two (2) business days of the draw.

12. The Promoters' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. The first valid entry drawn will win a trip for two (2) people to join the Melbourne United Mobil on the Road Cairns getaway, departing Friday 30 October 2026 and returning Sunday 1 November 2026, valued at up to AU$4,000 ex GST. The prize includes:

  - A weekend in Cairns hosted by Melbourne United;
  - Return airfares for two (2) people between Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and Cairns Airport, flying with the Melbourne United team;
  - Bus transfers to and from all scheduled locations throughout the trip;
  - Two (2) nights' accommodation for two (2) people at Crystalbrook Flynn;
  - An exclusive dinner with the Melbourne United team on Friday 30 October 2026;
  - Attendance at the team's game-day shootaround;
  - A group lunch or activity on Saturday 31 October 2026; and
  - Premium reserved seats for two (2) people to watch Melbourne United take on the Cairns Taipans on Saturday 31 October 2026.

14. The prize does not include any additional spending money, meals other than those expressly included in clause 13, taxes excluding airline and airport taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from the Melbourne departure point, items of a personal nature, in-room charges or any other ancillary costs. If the winner or their companion misses a scheduled flight, they will be responsible for any costs associated with booking a new flight. The itinerary will be determined by the Promoters in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to the exact airline, departure time, arrival time, accommodation and scheduled activities. If the winner wishes to change any part of the itinerary, such as airfares, they may do so at their own expense and subject to approval by the Promoters. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. The winner may be required to present a credit card at the time of accommodation check-in.

15. If, for any reason, the winner does not take or redeem the prize, or an element of the prize, at the time stipulated by the Promoters, the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.

16. If the prize or any part of the prize is unavailable, the Promoters reserve the right, in their discretion, to substitute the prize or that part of the prize with a prize of equal value and/or specification.

17. The tickets for the Cairns Taipans versus Melbourne United game are subject to the event venue and ticketing terms and conditions. The Promoters and event organisers expressly reserve the right to eject the winner and/or their companion for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, while participating in any element of the prize.

18. The total prize pool is valued at up to AU$4,000 ex GST.

19. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless otherwise specified.

20. In the event of war, terrorism, a state of emergency or disaster, the Promoters reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or suspend or modify the prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.

21. Entrants consent to the Promoters using their name, likeness, image and/or voice if they are the winner, including photographs, film and/or recordings, in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting the promotion and its outcome.

22. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoters reserve the right, in their sole discretion and to the fullest extent permitted by law, to: (a) disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority, modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

23. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the internet service provider used.

24. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies any statutory consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be limited, excluded or modified ("Non-Excludable Guarantees"). Except for liability under the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoters and their officers, employees and agents exclude all liability, including negligence, for personal injury or any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage arising from the promotion.

25. Except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Promoters and their officers, employees and agents are not responsible for personal injury or any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage arising from: (a) technical difficulties or equipment malfunction; (b) theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected for reasons beyond the Promoters' reasonable control; (d) any variation in the prize value; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.

26. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner and their companion must sign any legal documentation in the form required by the Promoters and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.

27. The Promoters collect personal information ("PI") for the purposes outlined in this clause. Entry is conditional upon providing PI. PI is collected to conduct the promotion and may be disclosed to third parties, including agents, contractors, service providers, call centres, prize suppliers and Australian regulatory authorities as required. The Promoters may use PI for sales, promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant, in accordance with their privacy policies.
