The arrival of Melbourne United’s three new imports has got the entire organisation, including Assistant Coach Darryl ‘DMack’ McDonald, very excited.
As a former import with nearly 500 games of NBL experience, DMack knows what it takes to succeed in the league as an incoming player, and believes former NBA guard Rayjon Tucker ticks all those boxes.
When asked about the explosive guard on SEN on Tuesday afternoon, DMack said fans can expect two things for sure: Energy and buckets.

“Athlete. He’s going to bring heaps of energy,” he said.
“If there’s one thing he can do, he can put the ball in the hoop for us. That’s the one thing that kind of hurt us last year, we just needed somebody that can go get us a bucket, and I think (Tucker) will be that guy, him and X (Xavier Rathan-Mayes).”
Joining Tucker as United’s recent additions are the aforementioned Rathan-Mayes and American forward Jordan Caroline, both of which Dmack believes will help Melbourne push the pace and get up the floor for points in transition.
“The one thing for us is we’ll have one of those groups that can get up and down the court. We’re going to try and get out and run and get those easy baskets.”
