Bowen, Cameron ready for more, says Clark

After impressing across their rookie campaigns, Flynn Cameron and Kyle Bowen are ready to continue to shine in NBL25 according to one of United’s most decorated stars.

Returning import guard Ian Clark heaped praise on the pair when touching on his excitement at returning to United.

He believes the experience Bowen and Cameron got playing in every game of MU’s regular season will go a long way in preparing them to play bigger roles in the upcoming season.

“Flynn and KB got thrown into the fire a lot,” he explained.

“When guys went down, they showed that they were ready and that came from the work they did every day in practice. There wasn’t an off-day that I didn’t see them in the gym putting in the work to get better.

“I’m excited to continue to grow with those guys and be the best teammate I can be for them. Whether they need advice or just want me to be myself and compete, they’ll learn by example. “Those guys, they have leadership in their DNA, so I’m excited to get back with them.”

Both players are coming off strong offseasons, with Bowen leading Knox to a 13-9 record in the NBL1 South, while Cameron played a starring role for Taranaki in the NZNBL.

Fans will get their first opportunity to see the pair hit the court in Melbourne colours in a preseason showcase against the Brisbane Bullets at Casey Stadium on 27 August from 6:30pm. Tickets are available here.
