Doyle, Krslovic building on title-winning connection

With our quest for NBL Championship redemption set to start in a few short weeks, United fans will be hoping the addition of a title-winning duo could swing results in our favour come NBL26.

Both Milton Doyle and Fabijan Krslovic made the decision to move from Tasmania to Melbourne, and the pair are leaning on their pre-existing connection to hit the ground running.

Reconnecting on the floor this preseason, Krslovic broke down exactly what makes Doyle such a valuable teammate to have when pursuing victories.

“The biggest thing that I’ve grown to appreciate about playing with Milt for the last three seasons is just his composure and his poise,” Krslovic said.

“It doesn’t matter how big the moment is, what time of the game it is, he’s the same, he’s got the same mindset, he’s got that calming presence. 

“That’s why when the ball is in his hands, he’s ready to step up and make plays in big moments.”

Krslovic's first game in United colours will be the 200th NBL appearance of his career, with the stout big-man having carved out his role as a reliable piece on both ends across the past seven seasons.

Looking at what makes his pick-and-roll partner so successful, Doyle broke down his value as a communicator both on and off the floor.

“He’s a great guy… just coming in he’s always talking and very vocal so he makes it easy for me to come in and learn,” Doyle explained.

“It’s always good to be on time with somebody you know. It makes it easier coming into the gym, they show you the ropes.”
