While he may be coming into the NBL24 campaign as a ‘rookie’, Kyle Bowen looks ready to put his stamp on the league right away.
The Perth product played four games for the Wildcats across the 2018-19 season as a Development Player, winning a Championship with the organisation before heading to California to play for St Mary’s.
Now back in the league and reunited with Jacob Chance, who he was at the Wildcats with, Bowen’s bruising style should see him make an immediate impact for United.
Appearing on The Extra Pass podcast, Chance spoke highly of ‘KB’, lauding his ability on the court, but also as a culture fit.

“He wears his heart on his sleeve, he’s a beast,” he said.
“‘KB’ was someone who we were recruiting pretty hard in Tassie as well so I was pretty bummed when we missed out on him but then I got to flip the script and come here and join him anyway.
“‘KB’ was someone we were really lucky to have in our program coming out of the Institute (Australian Institute of Sport) and got exposed to him and helped expose him to the NBL before he went to St Mary’s.
“He just does everything you want from a player within your program, from the on-court to the off-court to what he brings to the locker room, he’s just an all-round great kid. I’m so pumped to be working with him again, you love those guys that come in and bring it every day.”
