Offseason Games Wrap: Bradtke stars as Rollers advance to Grand Final series

Melbourne United Development Player Jensen Bradtke has played a massive role in helping the Gold Coast Rollers advance to the Grand Final series in the NBL1 North.

Facing off at home against the Logan Thunder, Bradtke tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds, owning the paint in the 36-point demolition.

The Rollers will face off against the Ipswich Force in a three-game series starting on 7 August.

In the South, Tom Wilson and the Melbourne Tigers got a measure of revenge on the Sandringham Sabres for taking them down in last year’s Grand Final, pulling off a hard-fought 72-68 victory.

Wilson (18 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals) impacted the game all over the court, helping the Tigers eliminate his United teammate trio of Malith Machar (13 points), Kyle Bowen (16 rebounds, six points) and Harry Neilson (13 points, eight rebounds).

On the other side of the Finals bracket, Christian D’Angelo and the Nunawading Spectres survived a late scare against the Keilor Thunder to advance to the Preliminary Finals.

The guard was on fire throughout the game, dropping 31 points and dishing out seven assists.

A showdown between Wilson and D’Angelo could eventuate if the Tigers take down Frankston and Nunawading overcome Eltham on 8 August.

Over in the East, Fabijan Krslovic will look to lock in his spot in the Grand Final on 8 August when his Norths Bears host the Central Coast Crusaders.
