Across his tenure in the NBL, few players have displayed more tenacity on the glass than Fabijan Krslovic.
The 199-game veteran is coming off a career-best rebounding campaign, which saw him pull down boards at a higher rate than stars like Xavier Cooks, Josh Bannan, Montrezl Harrel and Sam Froling.
Looking at what Krslovic will bring to United’s NBL26 lineup, Head Coach Dean Vickerman said the 203cm big-man will help address priority aspects of his side’s play.
“There were a couple of issues we wanted to solve with our rebounding and Fab’s up there in offensive rebound percentage in the league,” he said.
“He’s such a great box out guy and just comes out with massive rebounds in key moments in games, which is where we felt like we needed to improve a little bit.
“He’s a great screener that can really allow our guards to get open on the perimeter and just a high quality player all around that can play four or five.”
Krslovic has just completed an 18-game stint with Phoenix Hagan in the German ProA league, which saw him help the side to a semi-final appearance.
He averaged 7.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists while knocking down 45.9% of his three-point looks in 22 minutes per game.
Krslovic is expected to arrive in Melbourne in the coming weeks to begin his pre-season preparations with his new teammates.
