Joe Ingles

Returning to the NBL for the first time since 2009, Joe Ingles is looking to build on his already stellar career with Melbourne United.

Having just completed his 12th NBA campaign, Ingles is one of the nation’s greatest ever basketball players, ranking in the top five for points, assists, rebounds, steals and three-pointers among all Australians to have ever played in the league.

Across his eight seasons with the Utah Jazz, Ingles hold the team's all-time record for three-point makes (1,071), and finished second in Sixth Man of the Year voting in 2021.

He then spent four years contributing for the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves before calling time on his NBA career.

The playmaking forward started his professional journey in the NBL in 2006 with the South Dragons, where he ultimately won a Championship in 2009.

A consistent winner across the course of his career, including ten NBA Playoff appearances, a EuroLeague Championship, as well as league and cup Championship victories in Spain and Israel, Ingles comes to United with a clear objective to compete for the NBL’s ultimate goal.

Internationally, Ingles has been one of the stars for the Australian Boomers across the past two decades. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Ingles played a huge role in helping Australia secure the nation's first ever basketball medal, taking down Slovenia to win Bronze.
