Daniels headed to U19 World Cup in Switzerland

Melbourne United Next Star, Dash Daniels, has been selected to represent Australia at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Switzerland.

The event will take place across the end of June and beginning of July.

Daniels, who recently returned to Melbourne to resume his offseason preparations with United, while suiting up for Sandringham in the NBL1 South, will be joined on the team by former Brisbane Bullets Next Star, Rocco Zikarski, and SEM Phoenix Development Player, Luke Fennell.

The 17-year-old’s first game of the tournament will come against eight-time champions, the United States of America.

Australia has won the tournament once, in 2003, across its 15 appearances.
