As the months go by, the anticipation for NBL26, and the debut of Next Star Dash Daniels, continued to grow.
The impressive 17-year-old is currently at the Australian Emus selection camp, meaning he couldn’t be with his brother, Dyson, in Melbourne for the announcement of his NBA Most Improved Player award victory.
Having battled against each other, as well as older brother Kai, their entire lives, Dyson provided some insight as to just what fans can expect come NBL26 when Dash suits up for Melbourne United.
“He’s made a big step,” the NBA star told listeners on SEN’s The Run Home with Andrew Gaze and Andy Maher.
“He’s only 17 years old and has still got a lot of development in him but he’s a similar player to me.
“A really good defender, developing his offensive game… he can play make, the shot’s coming along, he’s got a really good frame, he’s my height already. He’s got all the athleticism as well.”
When asked who would win a game to 11 between the two if they were both 17 years old, Dyson gave his brother his flowers.
“I think he wins, to be honest. At 17 he’s got me covered,” he laughed.
“He’s got some talent at his age and he’s got a lot more size than me.”
