In his Australian Boomers debut, Tanner Krebs caught fire, tallying 28 points in a 13-point victory over Guam in the FIBA World Cup Qualifier matchup last night.
Injected into the starting lineup alongside fellow United star Tom Wilson, Krebs was lethal from beyond the arc, connecting on eight of his 13 attempts from deep to lead all scorers in the contest.
Wilson also shined, finishing with 11 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Former United star Jack White came off the bench to contribute four points, seven rebounds, two steals and a block.
The victory seals Australia’s spot in the Second Round of FIBA World Cup Qualifying.
The Boomers will next face the Philippines in Manila on Sunday from 10:30pm.
