Offseason Games Wrap: Machar, Bowen go off to set up teammate Finals showdown

It’s set to be a battle of NBL26 United teammates this weekend in the NBL1 South Finals following a pair of huge performances from Malith Machar and Kyle Bowen at the weekend.

Facing off in an elimination final against Casey, Machar torched the nets for Sandringham, finishing with a game-high 34 points and six three pointers in a 99-91 victory.

Bowen’s impact came all over the court, as he filled the stat-sheet with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals.

The pair advance to take on Tom Wilson and the Melbourne Tigers on Saturday night in a qualifying final.

In the NBL1 East, Fabijan Krslovic helped secure the Norths Bears a week off with a win over the Sutherland Sharks.

The big man was everywhere, tallying nine points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in the 14-point win.

Krslovic and the Bears are now one win away from securing their spot in the conference Championship game.
