Welcome to Stat Wrap! Your behind the scenes deep dive on the numbers from each round of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.
Krslovic, Edwards crashing the glass
For the third straight game, we have won the rebounding battle, with Fabijan Krslovic and Jesse Edwards leading from the front.
Amongst the 13 players in the competition averaging at least seven rebounds per game, Krslovic and Edwards are the only two doing so while playing less than 20 minutes per game.
The pair also rank equal-fifth in the league when it comes to offensive rebounding, with each averaging 3.3 O-boards per game.
Bowen impacting winning
Newly-minted NBL26 vice-captain Kyle Bowen put together another elite complementary performance on Thursday evening against the Phoenix.
Coming off the bench, Bowen was a game-high +22 in his 16 minutes, with the forward providing great defensive pressure and strong support boxing out.
This is the second game in a row where Bowen has recorded the team’s best plus/minus after registering a +26 game last week against the Breakers.
United leading the pack
As we head into a week off NBL competition due to our upcoming NBAxNBL game against the New Orleans Pelicans, we sit atop a number of key stat categories.
After two Rounds, we are the only team averaging over 100 points per game (101.7), thanks in part to our league-best assist numbers (24 assists per game).
This has allowed us to outscore opponents by 18.7 points per game, while producing 20.3 more points off the bench each game.
Our stars will next hit the court on Friday evening for our historic clash with the New Orleans Pelicans inside Rod Laver Arena from 7:30pm.
Fans can tune in to the landmark evening live on Channel 10 or via Amazon Prime.
