Import trio primed for huge postseason

Looking to gather as much momentum as possible prior to our do-or-die Play-In Qualifier game against the Tasmania JackJumpers, our trio of imports have been producing some of their best performances of the season.

Newly crowned club MVP Jesse Edwards has led all players in rebounding across the final quarter of the regular season, averaging 11 boards per game to go along with 14.4 points and 1.3 blocks.

Tyson Walker has been similarly impressive, averaging 26.5 points per game and knocking down nine three-pointers in his final two outings prior to the Play-In.

With these two dominating in the starting lineup, Milton Doyle has slotted into his sixth-man role perfectly, having scored more than 20 points in four of his past six games.

Ahead of the matchup with the JackJumpers, Head Coach Dean Vickerman said he has full confidence in the trio continuing thor strong run of form.

“They all have got really good momentum in their play and I think when we put the team together, we really saw Tyson and Jesse as young pros and we looked at how much they could improve by the end of the year, and we're pleased with where they've got, both in their confidence level and their role on the team,” he explained.

“Rebounding has been such an important thing for us lately and Jesse's our leader in that area and continues to pick up extra possessions for us. 

“Milt coming off the bench, it's just been a really good thing for him, scoring close to 20 points a game… looking super confident and using his IQ to help everybody else.”
