Aggressive Walker remaining confident ahead of Throwdown

With one final game of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 regular season left, gathering any momentum we can prior to the Play-In is crucial.
Set to face off against the South East Melbourne Phoenix at home in Throwdown 32, a win could lift us into fourth spot, setting up another battle with SEM in the Play-In.
Despite a 1-1 Round 21, import guard Tyson Walker said he and his teammates remain confident they can put together a strong performance to close the regular season, and in the Play-In.
“The confidence is still there,” Walker said.
“We know how we started the season. We're still trying to work to get back to that, but it all comes with making shots. We make shots, I think a lot of things change.
“So if we get back to how we were in the first 15 games and if we do it at the right time, I think everybody will forget about how we've been losing.
“We started off 13-2. We looked pretty dangerous then. So hopefully we get back to it.”
These sentiments were echoed by Rhys Carter, who coached both games across Round 21 in Dean Vickerman’s absence.
“We just weren't our best today, but we still think our best gets it done,” Carter explained.
“Our best is Tyse driving the pace and creating advantages for us on offense.
“We've got a lot of different points of attack at both ends and we're trying to use them. But again, it wasn't our best tonight, but we still think our best is good enough.”
The only way to make sure you’re in the building to see every second of our massive Throwdown 32 matchup on Thursday from 7:30pm is by securing your seat today.
