The pair of new additions are getting up to speed quickly with their United teammates

With our preseason preparations in full swing, a pair of fresh faces are settling into life in Melbourne.

Finn Delany and Tyson Walker each participated in their first full team practice on Tuesday afternoon, battling it out alongside their new teammates in scrimmages.

Speaking following the session, Walker said he’s enjoying the learning process in a new environment.

“It was great today, just learning a lot, meeting everybody, understanding how they play, getting out there and getting a good feel,” Walker explained.

“It definitely builds excitement to get out there with a great group of guys. This program is about winning, so hopefully we can go out there and perform really well.

“The only hard part has been trying to get my sleep schedule down pat but everything else is great.”

These sentiments were echoed by Delany, who spent the day battling hard against the likes of Kyle Bowen and Fabijan Krslovic.

“It’s great to just get started, I’ve been looking forward to this for months.

"It’s good to be in the building for a high level of competition today, I really enjoyed it. It was tough at first, honestly my lungs are still catching up to me.

“Obviously just getting up to speed on things but generally it was great, just have to go recover now.”
