NBL27 Offseason Update: Delany to explore international opportunities

Melbourne United and forward Finn Delany have agreed to decline the forward’s mutual option for NBL27 as he looks to explore international opportunities.

Delany returned to the NBL this season and played a significant role for United, averaging 11.4 points per game, while adding career highs in steals, assists and offensive rebounds.

Having loved his time with the club, Delany thanked the Melbourne United fans for their support this season, while leaving the door open for a return down the track.

“I really enjoyed my time at Melbourne United,” he said. 

”On and off the court the club was great for me and my family, but right now I want to explore the market overseas. 

“Melbourne will always be a special place for my family and I, especially with the birth of our daughter, and we wish them all the best for NBL27.”
