Delany claims BCL Asia Championship, named to All-Star Five

Melbourne United forward Finn Delany has ended his short stint with Japanese team Utsunomiya with some silverware after claiming the Basketball Champions League Asia Championship overnight.
Facing off against defending Champions, Lebanese team Al Riyadi, Delany and his teammates fought back from down 13 to win the thrilling contest 94-93.
Delany was instrumental in the victory, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block off the bench.
Following the win, the New Zealander was named to the tournaments All-Star Five alongside DJ Newbill, Hayk Gyokchyan and Thon Maker, and Ian Miller.
Across the course of the tournament, Delany averaged 16 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting the ball at 55/42/86 splits.
Delany is now one of the only players to have won both the European and Asian iterations of the Basketball Champions League, having taken home gold with German team Bonn in 2023.
