Melbourne United Captain Chris Goulding has praised athletic forward Jack White for his aggressive play of late.
Over his last three games, White has given the defending champions more of a scoring boost, averaging 14 points per contest.
Speaking after United’s Throwdown XVI, delivered by DoorDash win on Thursday night, CG43 lauded White effort and encouraged him to be assertive on the offensive end.
“We’re always on Jack,” he said.
“He’s such a talented guy, he shoots the ball at an amazing clip in practice and scrimmages. We want him to be aggressive. He can do some things that people at that power forward position can’t so we want him to be as aggressive as he wants to be.
“He’s a big part of what we do defensively… I just want to see him be aggressive and be himself because his upside is enormous. “
White showcased just how much energy he can give to the team in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game, scoring six points and producing one of the highlights on the season.

After the game, White said he knew he and the rest of the team had to come out and play with a high level of intensity, before thanking all the United fans who came to the away game.
“South East had nothing to lose in this one, so we knew we had to come out and match that intensity.
“It’s a big win for us, obviously an away game for us, really proud of the boys for pulling through.
“(The support we get) is elite, it doesn’t feel like an away game. We’re super fortunate to be able to play away games on this court and still get a good showing from our fans. It’s another reason why we pride ourselves on having the best fans in the league.”
Watch White fly in United’s next game, a road contest against the Cairns Taipans on Sunday afternoon. The game will be broadcast live and free of 10 Peach and Kayo Freebies.
